Exotic flowers showcase

Members of the Millicent Orchid Society are finalising arrangements for their annual Spring Show over the three days of the Labour Day holiday long weekend.

The St Alphonsus Hall in George Street will be filled on October 5, 6 and 7 with exquisite blooms from over 100 plants.

As before, there will be a colourful mix of large, small and quirky flowers and plants.

On show will be native Australian orchids to varieties imported from Asia, South America and Europe.

Club members will be on hand and they are always happy to answer questions from the public about their passion.

Admission to the show is by gold coin donation.

It is the 34th annual event for the group and it will continue to attract orchid lovers across the region plus visitors to Millicent.
