Be inspired to gain new skills and qualifications with a visit to the Mount Gambier Careers Expo and Open Day
TAFE SA’s Mount Gambier Campus will tomorrow host a Careers Expo and Open Day to give community members the chance to explore local study and training opportunities and find out more about career pathways.
The Careers Expo and Open Day offers something for everyone, from school students and school leavers to job seekers and career changers, as well as interested members of the community.
TAFE SA’s Manager Education Partnerships – South East Ally Skeer said the event will bring together a great range of service providers and information to help people with their career choices.
“The Careers Expo and Open Day is shaping up to be an exciting event for all members of the Limestone Coast community,” she said.
“It will be an all-encompassing event with industry groups, employers, group training providers and universities all represented.”
The open day will include campus tours, information sessions and hands-on activities, providing a great opportunity for people to explore the campus, ask questions about student life and discover the courses available locally.
“We really want to encourage people to come along and get involved in the day’s activities,” Ms Skeer said.
“TAFE SA delivers high-quality, industry-relevant training across a range of sectors and this is a great opportunity to find out what’s involved in studying with us.
“Visitors will be able to see our well-equipped classrooms and skills labs, meet the lecturers and ask questions about our courses and career pathways.”
TAFE SA training includes skill sets and short courses through to certificate-level qualifications, delivered on campus, in the workplace and online.
TAFE SA offers a wide range of courses at the Mount Gambier campus from Agriculture, Ecosystem and Conservation Management and Horticulture, through to Cookery, Hospitality, Retail and Foundation Skills and so much more.
Registrations to attend the Career Expo and Open Day are encouraged but not essential.
