Face-to-face health meeting bid

Akey lobby group has called on the Limestone Coast Local Health Network regional board to hold an informal meet and greet session for the public when it next meets at Millicent Hospital.

A motion to this effect was passed at the recent annual general meeting of the Millicent Health Advisory Council.

The eight members of the LCLHN regional board are appointed by Health Minister Chris Picton and at least three of them are Adelaide residents.

LCLHN regional director of nursing Michelle de Wit told the Millicent HAC annual general meeting the regional board had met in Millicent in October and was not scheduled to return until late in 2025.

She said members of the Millicent HAC and the Millicent and Surrounds Health Support Group had accepted the invitation to meet the regional board at their latest meeting in Millicent.

However, Millicent HAC presiding member Dr Kevin McGrath said he had received no such invitation.
