Work has restarted at the Chinese-owned Blue Lake Dairy Group factory at Tantanoola.
A source has told The SE Voice up to 12 employees are on the factory floor each day.
All employees had earlier been stood down on August 5 and production ceased.
The workers were told rent was owed on the facility.
