Faith helps bridge cultural divide

There will be special services for Aboriginal Sunday this weekend at the Kalangadoo and Millicent Anglican Churches.

First held in 1938, the services across the nation are nowadays coordinated by the Common Grace organisation.

It said Aboriginal Sunday is celebrated the Sunday before January 26.

“Aboriginal Sunday is an opportunity for individual congregations and faith communities to pray for justice and the flourishing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples,” Common Grace said.

“It is an important opportunity for church communities to go deeper in listening, learning, and being led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders.”
