Nangwarry hosts Robe in the last match of the 2022 Mid South Eastern Netball home and away season.
Both of these teams have had injuries this season, but have had the ability to fill these positions within their clubs.
Robe’s goalie combination of Halle Carter and Sarah Laurie are accurate and will use any opportunity to score, even under the defensive pressure of Hayley Burner and Carly Ploenges.
The Saints shooters Ange Pratt and Tahlia Wilson will also work hard against Georgia Perkins and Ellen Ramke.
Rooster Annie Hunter and Nangwarry’s Ebony Lawson will have a good tussle down the court, both chasing any loose balls and driving hard for their respective teams.
Robe should finish the day with the win.
Mount Burr v Tantanoola
Mount Burr and Tantanoola face off on Saturday in a particularly important game, with the winners securing their place in the top four.
Mozzies’ defenders Olivia Dean and Madi Hagget may be young but have shown their maturity this season bringing determination to the defensive circle.
Down the other end of the court Tantanoola’s Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe also combine well and put the pressure on for their opposition, forcing errors and creating turnovers for their team.
Tigers’ goalies Emma Gould and Jami Walker are accurate and are fed well from outside the circle by Casey Walker and Madi Kelly.
This game will be a tough one and has the potential to go either way and with both teams vying for a spot in the finals, it will definitely be one to watch.
Hatherleigh v Kalangadoo
The Eagles head to Kalangadoo this weekend to face off against the Magpies.
Hatherleigh’s strong defensive combination of Demi Vanderhorst and Lara MacGregor will work overtime to put the pressure on the Magpie’s goalies Abbey Duncan and Kori Collins.
Down the other end of the court the Eagles have had a few changes in their goal circle due to injury and could utilise a few combinations but will be led with strength from inside the circle by Maddie Redman.
Kalangadoo defenders Lauren Kain and Reanna Wetherall will put the pressure on in the circle and the side’s strength as a team will show through to secure the top spot of the ladder.
Port MacDonnell v Glencoe
Glencoe prepares to host the Bay this weekend to play off against the Demons.
Malinda Markiewicz is a focal point in the circle for the Murphies and when combined with Jenna Paproth they are a force to be reckoned with.
Port MacDonnell’s Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine will have to work overtime to shut down their influence.
Sarah Edwards and Chantelle Cocks are strong in the defensive circle for Glencoe and will fight to create turnovers and secure any rebounds from the Demons
goalies, with great movement throughout the circle.
Chloe Pfitzner and Donna Jaeschke also have the ability gain intercepts down the court and force errors through Port MacDonnell’s attack line.
The Demons will not go down without a fight, but Glencoe should still come away with the win.
