Fire crews were quick to extinguish a blaze on the eastern outskirts of Mount Gambier last week.
The fire broke out on a paddock on Lake Terrace East at 3.20pm, with eight fire crews and water bombers called in to contain the flames.
The volunteer firefighters worked to stop the flames from spreading, with the fire contained within 40 minutes.
Approximately 7-8ha of land was burned, however a CFS spokesperson said a cause had yet to be established.
