Food hub gets help

A grant of almost $3000 from the Robe District Council will cover the Robe Food Hub’s electricity costs.

Council chief executive James Holyman said the not-for-profit Robe Food Hub holds minimal funds.

He said they would like to keep them in case there are COVID-19 issues in Robe or the Limestone Coast that would affect families within the council region.

“Council proactively supported the Robe Food Hub to provide fresh food to community members during COVID,” Mr Holyman said.

“Their contribution was recognised with John Fenton and Emma Vasek being awarded the ‘Citizens of the Year’ at Robe’s Australia Day Awards.”
