Footy club turns up heat off field

With the footy season almost upon us, a local football club will join with Bunnings for a sausage sizzle fundraiser.

On Saturday (March 15) West Gambier Football Club will join more than 200 football, soccer and rugby clubs in firing up the barbecues at Bunnings stores nationwide to raise funds that will go directly back to club members and their facilities.

This initiative is part of Bunnings’ commitment to giving back to the community, where last year they distributed $250,000 worth of products and materials to deserving football clubs as part of their Home Ground Advantage program.

Limestone Coast community members and Bunnings-goers can grab a sausage in bread between 9am-4pm, with 100% of funds raised going directly back to the clubs.

To continue the footy festivities, all Bunnings stores will also be hosting free footy-themed kids DIY workshops.
