An inaugural community grant round has opened for applications.
Late last year the Stand Like Stone Foundation wanted to encourage and help more people become a local philanthropist for the Limestone Coast community.
As a result, the foundation established the ‘Friends of Stand Like Stone’ which enables any individual or organisation to support the Foundation on a number of levels.
Stand Like Stone chief executive Roger Babolka said a key aspect of the initiative was the ability to not only enable the local community to support the on-going operations of the foundation, but also enable an annual grant to be given out each year, called the Friends Champion Grant.
Mr Babolka said applications for the inaugural ‘Friends Champion Grant’ were now open and close June 26.
“We’re pleased to be offering a champion grant of up to $3600 which is open to not-for-profit groups located in or providing services to the Limestone Coast,” he said.
“Full details about the champion grant and the ‘Friends of Stand Like Stone’ program are available on our website.
“Initiatives such as the Friends of Stand Like Stone enables us to respond to the needs of the people and communities of this region, ensuring local projects receive the support they deserve.”
