WE HAD 13 players on Wednesday with Frank McInerney (30) with 43 points winning easily from Neville Wombwell (21) on 35 points.


Perhaps the ride in the Pope Mobile alias Maurices cart did the trick.


NTPs went to Maurice Faroe 2nd Frank McInerney 8th, Nev Wombwell 13th, and Roy McCallum 17th and 2nd shot on the 9th.


The greenskeeper had a bit of fun with the flag on the 11th, putting in a very difficult position causing many players grief, possibility of a 5-putt had one player not picked up after he ran out of shots.


The Tyrepower Trophy this week went to Maurice Faroe.


Saturday was the Monthly Medal stroke round sponsored by Tyrepower and won by Brett Van As (23) with a nett 69 from Ewan Herring (14) finishing runner up with a nett 71 on a countback, a huge improvement on his display at Naracoorte on Monday. NTPs to Alan Rees 2nd and 2nd shot on the 9th, Gene Thompson 8th, Brett Van As 13th and Gary Carlin 17th Reports of a couple of players not making the ladies tee and copping a fine.


Next week is a par comp sponsored by Mick Francis; there will be a working bee on Sunday starting at 9.30am.
