Free skin checks roll out

The Lions Clubs of Blue Lake City Lioness and Mount Gambier will sponsor a free skin cancer screening at the Mount Gambier Marketplace this month.


The screenings will be held on March 24, 25 and 26 from 9am to 3.30pm each day.


Bookings have opened and appointments are essential, call 8723 2737 or 8725 1019 to book.


This service is not for people who have had a skin check in the last 12 month.


If you have had a recent check and are still concerned about a spot please visit your doctor.


Screeners are health professionals, provided a1s a service to the community by the Lions Medical Research Foundation.


The project has screened over 29,804 people with a referral rate for medical assessment of 21.8%


Attendees are respectfully requested not to wear makeup, skin tanner, nail polish, hair products or deodorant to your appointment.


Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the paperwork, with the screening to take 10 minutes.
