Free transport wheeled in

Free community transport is now available on a weekly basis in Millicent through a new ac.care initiative.

Residents are able to pre-book a seat on the ac.care community shuttle bus.

It operates between 11am-3.30pm every Thursday to help people access the Millicent Community Centre or the town’s central shopping precinct.

The bus will initially provide a pick-up and drop-off service from the corner of Ramsay Street and Bridges Street near Newbery Park Primary School.

Would-be bus patrons need to contact the ac.care office on 7725 3000 during business hours by Wednesday at the latest to secure a seat for the following day.

Other pick-up and drop-off points are under consideration.

A similar transport service is offered by ac.care in Mount Gambier.
