Friends group to gather

The Millicent and Surrounds New Residents and Friends Group is on the road again.

Its last informal gathering was at the Grand Hotel in Millicent last month when local musicians Jack Lane and Mic Randall performed a free public concert.

Group founder Darrell Looker said the next activity was about 25km from Millicent.

“Join us at the historical and beautiful Leake Brothers Glencoe Woolshed on July 9 at 11am,” he said.

“Come and experience the ambience of this unique woolshed, unchanged since it was built in 1863.

“There’ll be an expert on hand to answer any questions you may have.

“For those who are interested we will then head over to the Country Post & Bistro for a hot chocolate and nibbles.”
