Genuine living legend honoured

The Kalangadoo Football Club has recognised one of its long time volunteers, with a special award presented on Saturday.


The club awarded its first ever Club Legend to Peter Savage to recognise the sustained and outstanding work contributed to the club.


The award is only awarded to people who are already a life member of the club.


“Sav”, as he is affectionately known, has dedicated many years to the club.


His achievements include: awarded Kalangadoo Football Club Life Membership 1991, League Life Member 2005, Club Secretary 1978-2005, Budget scribe 1982-2019, Time Keeper 1997 – current, change room cleaner 1981-2018, Mid South East League Delegate 2000-2005, A Grade team manager 1982-1984 and 1989-1990, game day photographer 2016 – current (taking over 20,000 photos per season), player record keeper 2013 – current, ground mowing and maintenance 2018 – current, club history keeper 1973 – current.
