IT WAS great to see some new and returning players take to the courts for the first round of the Casterton Squash Club spring competition on Wednesday evening.
Round 1 results:
Schumacher lost to Fangio 5-10: Kevin Stark lt Rick Smith 1-3, Troy O’Connell d Garry Carlin 3-1, Emma Smith lt Caitlin Muecke 0-3, Gabriela Anacona lt Bella Ross 1-3.
Prost def Senna 11-6: Andrew Harvey d Rich Currie 3-0 (forf), Tom Jenkins d Jodi Zylstra 3-2, Susie Niewand lt Robert Hall 2-3, Bella Ross d Gabriela Anacona 3-1.
Brabham had a bye.
