‘Grief the price of love’

On behalf of the Wattle Range Community, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to the Royal Family.

Our thoughts are with the members of the Royal Family as they mourn the loss of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In Her Majesty’s own words “Grief is the price we pay for love”.

Over the course of her long reign, she served with many positive attributes, including the Wattle Range Council values of Trust, Teamwork and Fun.

For over 70 years Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II served with dignity and grace, and with an unfailing commitment and devotion to faith, family and service.

I had the privilege as a young police officer upon graduation of taking the Police oath in the name of Queen Elizabeth ll, swearing allegiance to her.

During my time as a serving police officer, she always presented with dignity and elegance.

To myself, she was a model of positive, polite and powerful inspiration.

Australians from across the country are paying their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
