Ground broken on new council office

Work began last week on the new $10m office in Millicent for Wattle Range Council.

The first tasks were the erection of security fencing followed by the temporary personnel huts.

The iron roof was removed on the first day from the former netball/tennis clubrooms with demolition of the brick structure taking place the following day.

The debris has been carted away and now advanced siteworks can take place.

The new office is expected to take 12 months to build and up to 50 workers will be on-site at any one time.
