The leaders of a key health lobby group have had a change of heart and will remain at the helm of the Millicent and Surrounds Health Support Group.
Its chairman Trevor Sinclair and secretary Ron Wood had signalled at the annual general meeting a few months ago they would be stepping down.
Together with foundation chairman John Andre, the trio have been the driving forces behind the MASH Group since its inception almost a decade ago.
They actively participated in the recent public feedback session at Millicent Hospital about the forthcoming regional clinical services plan.
Fellow MASH Group members Vicki Sapiatzer, Virginia Pawsey, Mark Braes and Simone Berry were also vocal at the meeting along with such community leaders as Wattle Range Mayor Des Noll and Millicent Health Advisory Council presiding member Dr Kevin McGrath.
Conducted by two independent consultants, the Millicent session lasted 90 minutes and attracted an attendance of 55.
It was one of seven sessions conducted across the region.
The comments will inform the development of the new Limestone Coast Local Health Network Clinical Services Plan.
Among the matters raised at Millicent were the return of specialists and local doctors, increased funding for the operating theatres and the shortage of accommodation for the hospital workforce.
