Health role filled, for now

The next temporary Executive Officer/Director of Nursing at Millicent and District Hospital will begin duty on Monday.

Emma Howard is transferring from a senior health role in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

She has oversight of 143 staff at the hospital and its 60-bed Sheoak Lodge aged care facility.

Her initial contract runs only until March as permanent incumbent Michelle de Wit can exercise her right of return.

Ms de Wit has a 12-month contract as the Acting Regional Director of Nursing.

Since her departure to the Mount Gambier-based role in March, senior staffer Fiona Oliver and contractor Sally Milson have been in charge.
