Healthy ageing secrets shared

The University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus is inviting the community to attend an upcoming online event ‘Secrets of Women’s Healthy Ageing’ on October 20.

The streamed event will be held in partnership with the Women’s Information Service and expert in women’s health Professor Cassandra Szoeke will explore her research-based approach to healthy ageing.

Ms Szoeke will be joined by University of South Australia’s Professor Susan Hillier.

Over the past 30 years, a team of international investigators compiled extensive data to raise awareness of the modifiable risk factors in women’s health.

The session will employ the findings of a unique study which focussed on the health of over 400 women in the mid-to-late years of their lives and covers brain, heart and gut health, exercise, sleep, diet and benefits of socialising.

Pre-event drinks will start at 5.30 with the lecture to begin at 6pm followed by a light supper.

Registrations are essential and can be made via Eventbrite. COVID-19 restrictions will apply.
