High-achiever gets extra help

Another accolade has recently come the way of Millicent High School graduate Ava Smith-Muhovics. Wattle Range Council is proud to support local students attending the UniSA Mount Gambier Campus with an annual study grant.

Chief executive Ben Gower was pleased to present the Study Grant to this year’s recipient, Ms Smith-Muhovics, at a presentation evening last month. A few months ago, she was recognised by UniSA for attaining the highest ATAR from the school’s graduating class of 2020.

She is a Millicent resident with a bright future as a primary school teacher. Ms Smith-Muhovics is currently studying her degree whilst working at Newbery Park Primary School in Millicent as a School Support Officer and additionally, an evening job at Gino’s Pizza Bar in Millicent.
