High-profile vocalist shares knowledge

The Mount Gambier Eisteddfod is set to welcome singer Jessica Chalmers to adjudicate the Choral and Vocal division of the upcoming competition.

Ms Chalmers’ career as a professional vocalist spans across several years and in 2021 she sang at the Australian Open 100th anniversary women’s grand final.

Following this opportunity, she has continued to perform at events such as the 2022 Australian Open Women’s semi and grand final and the 2021 and 2022 AFL grand final.

She has also worked with well known performers such as Robbie Williams, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Colin Hay, Cody Simpson, Kate Ceberano and Rob Mills.

Her career now brings her to the Blue Lake city where she will provide feedback and encouragement to local performers.

The eisteddfod showcases competitors of all ages with stunning choral sections with both adult and school choirs.

The event is held over two and a half days in the Wehl Street Theatre, with tickets at $6 per adult per session and $3 per Under 18 per session.

The Choral and Vocal competition beings on July 26 and runs until July 28.
