A high range drink driver was caught in Mount Gambier last week. About 7.40pm on Friday police were called to a shopping centre car park on Penola Road after reports of a disturbance.
Police stopped a Hyundai nearby and breath tested the driver, a 49-year-old local woman, who allegedly returned a positive result of 0.213. She was reported for driving under the influence and drink driving and will appear in court at a later date.
In a separate incident, a Mount Gambier man has lost his licence and had his vehicle impounded after being caught drink driving. The man was stopped at a driver testing station in Mount Gambier on May 8.
The 57-year-old driver recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.154. He was reported for drink driving and issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence. His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
