Acase of wilful damage disrupted the annual South East football carnival which was staged at the Kongorong Oval on Saturday.
Overnight, a vehicle had been driven on to the oval presumably via the ambulance access gate, undertaken “circle work” and churned up the grass by spinning its tyres.
Police have received a report about the damage to the grass and it occurred sometime between 11.30pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday.
