Hospital change-up

Millicent and District Hospital is currently without a long-term executive officer/director of nursing as the incumbent Sally Milson is understood to have transferred to another senior role within SA Health after a seven-month stint.

In the meantime, senior nurse Fiona Oliver will have temporary charge of the hospital, its Sheoak Lodge aged care facility and its 150 staff.

Ms Oliver has filled this role on a number of occasions in the past 20 years.

Meanwhile, a statement has been issued to The SE Voice on behalf of Limestone Coast Local Health Network chief executive Emma Poland.

“Recruitment for the executive officer/director of nursing position at Millicent Hospital is currently under way,” Ms Poland said.

“We are hoping to finalise the process in the near future.

“In the meantime, a backfill arrangement is in place for the position, with full cover being provided.”
