Host of questions and motions listed for July council meeting

Anumber of matters have been listed for discussion when Mount Gambier City Council meets today for its July monthly meeting.


Questions and motions from councillors along with reports from senior administration staff feature in the meeting agenda.


A number of questions from the June monthly meeting had been put on notice to be answered at today’s meeting.


Councillor Paul Jenner had submitted a question regarding waste priorities in the 2025/26 Long Term Financial Plan.


He has also submitted a motion advocating for a youth drug and alcohol service and specialist youth psychologist support for the region in Mount Gambier.


Meanwhile, Cr Kate Amoroso’s question in relation to the impact of Air BnB’s and short-term rental accommodation will also be answered.


Cr Josh Lynagh has questioned if consideration of another sinkhole has been included in council’s Umpherston Sinkhole Masterplan.


Cr Frank Morello is seeking support that council convenes a workshop in August in relation to progressing its CBD Masterplan.
