Housing crisis in spotlight

The University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus is hosting the next lecture in their public lecture series tonight, ‘Australia’s invisible cold housing crisis’.

The free lecture will be presented by research-intensive Associate Professor in Architecture in UniSA Creative Dr Lyrian Daniel.

Dr Daniel will discuss historical and contemporary reasons why temperatures inside Australian homes are much colder than homes in Sweden.

She will explore the health impacts of living in cold environments and discuss what people can do to warm up their homes.

Dr Daniel has a wealth of knowledge in her field and has a Bachelor of Design Studies, Masters of Architecture and PhD in Architecture.

Her research focuses on the impact of living environments on population health and wellbeing, particularly housing.

Pre-lecture drinks will begin at 6pm tonight and the presentation will start at 6:30pm followed by a light supper.

Registrations are essential and can be made via Eventbrite.
