The events were the Adrian Pearson Lawn and Garden Care/Marina and Perria Davis Men’s Pairs Championship and the Kathy and Stephen Von Duve/Shirley Gifford Ladies Pairs Championship.

The number of entries were higher in the men’s competition than last year and a little lower in the ladies due to the Trans Tasman Test.

In the ladies semi finals, the Blue Lake Bowlers pair of Bronwyn Hill and Emma Freemantle defeated the Kongorong pair of Kaye Milton and Janina Morrison 15 shots to one and in the other semi final the Saints team of Lyn Evans and Carmel McQuade defeated the combined Glenburnie and Kongorong team of Fiona Rochow and Heather Glynn 10-5.

The final of the Kathy and Stephen Von Duve/Shirley Gifford Ladies’ Pairs Championship was taken out by the Blue Lake Bowlers pair of Bronwyn Hill and Emma Freemantle who defeated Lyn Evans and Carmel McQuade, 8-5.

In the men’s semi finals the Moorak Red team of Shane Finch and Rod Fleming defeated the Wandilo Water Rats pair of Peter Gregory and Tony Bowditch 8-4, while in the other semi final the combined Kongorong and Blue Lake team of Jos Breuker and Thomas Butler defeated the Saints team of Chris Shentall and Gary Bowering 15-0.

The Moorak Red pair of Shane Finch and Rod Fleming defeated the combined pair of Jos Breuker and Thomas Butler winning the championship 5-3 to take out the Adrian Pearson Lawn and Garden Care/Marina and Perria Davis Men’s Pairs Championship.

The consolation was combined and saw the Commercial Club team of John Oakley and Graham Dent defeat the other Commercial Club team of Coehen Keppels and Michael Cameron 8-2.
