South Australian sheep and cattle industry researchers, organisations and farming groups are invited to apply for funding to support projects that will benefit the state’s livestock industry.
Applications are now open for the 2025-26 financial year through the SA Sheep Industry Fund and SA Cattle Industry Fund.
The SA Sheep and Cattle Industry Funds focus on key priorities designed to benefit producers and strengthen the sector.
The Sheep Industry Fund supports initiatives in animal health, improving flock wellbeing and disease management, along with enhancing traceability in the supply chain.
It also targets predator control to reduce losses, advocacy to represent producers’ interests, and industry development growth and innovation.
For the cattle industry, priorities include maintaining market access and opening new markets, driving efficient and sustainable production, improving business management and skills, and continuing advocacy efforts to protect producers’ interests.
Both funds encourage co-contributions and collaborations with other programs or initiatives.
Applications will be assessed based on their benefit to industry, value for money, stakeholder support, and alignment with state and national priorities.
For ongoing programs, past performance and outcomes will also be considered.
