Kalangadoo won the toss and scored the first goal through Ebony McDiarmid.
Tantanoolasettled with a long range shot from Keryl Ousey.
A Tantanoola missed shot was rebounded by Kalangadoo and they capitalised.
Tantanoola’s goalies Emma Gould and Ousey were shooting confidently, and they were the first to settle pushing out to a three-goal lead early in the quarter.
Kalangadoo showed their finals experience, to level the scores at the five-minute mark.
Lauren Kain turned over Tantanoola’s Centre pass and Abbey Duncan converted through a long-range shot.
Casey Walker at Wing Defence for Tantanoola was putting a lot of pressure on youngster Chloe Peacock.
Patience in the Kalangadoo forward half was rewarded with goals, giving them a three-goal lead at quarter time.
McDiarmid once again scored the first goal of the quarter despite hard work in defence by Tantanoola.
As the game progressed Tantanoola struggled with their transition through the mid court.
Despite lots of hard work defensively by Tantanoola, Kalangadoo missed one goal for the quarter pushing out to a 16-goal lead.
At half time Tantanoola switched Ousey into Goal Keeper, Jamie Walker into Goal Attack, Emma Gould to Goal Shooter, Casey Walker to Wing Attack Kate Bromley to Wing Defence and Tayla Rowe to Goal Defence.
This seemed to unsettle the Pies shooting end, with both goalies missing a number of shots, however rebounds did not go in the Tigers favour and the Magpies pushed out their lead to 23.
The Tigers battled hard throughout the last and ensured the lead did not push out much more, but the damage had been done in the middle two quarters.
Giving Kalangadoo their 25th Premiership after 30 continuous Grand Final appearances.

A Reserve
Robe 45 def Kalangadoo 30
In the first quarter both teams played with nerves, however, it did not take long to settle into rhythm on the court.
Robe defenders Kim Austin and Alannah Jennings made it difficult for the Kalangadoo goalies to find their range in the circle and took many intercepts, limiting Kalangadoo’s goalies to three for the quarter.
Robe’s attacking end worked hard to keep possession of the ball and moved the ball into the circle confidently.
In the second quarter Kalangadoo came back fighting.
Defenders Reanna Wetherall and Georgia Duncan put pressure on the Robe shooters and used their ability to confidently read the play to get turnovers.
Melissa Russell came on in Goal Shooter, moving well in the circle and creating more scoring opportunities for Kalangadoo.
The midcourters for Robe put the pressure on down the court, Keryn Moore, Jennings and Kim Ross getting deflections in the transitions.
The Roosters went into the break with an eight-goal lead.
In the third quarter, Robe’s goalies started with confidence, Ash Hunt and Sarah Laurie playing strongly in the circle.
Kalangadoo swapped defenders Duncan and Weatherall, making Robe work harder for every shot and continued that pressure throughout the mid court.
Shanae Neale entered the game at Wing Defence for the Pies and youngster Georgia Gentile moved to Centre.
Robe also replaced Kerryn Moore with Maisie Hayes at Wing Defence.
Both Ross and Gentile ran hard during the quarter getting plenty of the ball.
This quarter was the best for the Pies keeping the scores even at eight a piece.
Emilie Gould came on with fresh legs at the three-quarter time break and the whole Robe team played the quarter with determination and grit.
Both teams fought until the end, but Robe increased their lead to take out the game by 15.

B Grade
Kalangadoo 44 def Robe 42
Robe had much of the play in the first quarter but failed to capitalise on their opportunities, being one down at quarter time.
The second quarter went much along the same lines with hard defensive work by Emily Mulraney combining well with Demi Ingley restricting opportunities to Robe’s goalies.
Robe made changes at half-time which unsettled them in the third, losing the quarter by six.
In the last Robe moved Ella Mackey to centre and brought Amy Weatherall on at Goal Shooter and Libby Yeo moving to Goal Attack, which worked in Robe’s favour, and they pegged the lead back to even the score at full time.
Kalangadoo took out the win by two goals in overtime.

B Reserve
Hatherleigh 43 def Mount Burr 38
Hatherleigh and Mount Burr faced off in the 2023 B Reserve MSENA Grand Final.
Mount Burr had an early lead with goalies Sophie Jankowski and Karen Hayward shooting with accuracy, going into the first break with a four-goal lead.
Changes were made by both teams with Sally Bateman entering the court at Centre for the Eagles and Mia Grant at Wing Defence for Mount Burr.
The defensive line-up for both teams fought hard for every possession, converting with ease through their accurate Goal Shooters.
Dawn Smith and Bec Fox applied intense pressure to Hatherleigh’s goalies, limiting their rebounding opportunities.
The Eagles fought hard in the second quarter to have a five goal turn around, sending them into the half-time break with a one goal lead.
The second half saw a defensive change for both teams and the Mozzies moved Ava Smith-Muhovics into Goal Attack, with Hayward going to the bench.
This change was impactful for Mount Burr with Smith-Muhovics using her accuracy in the goal circle to shoot the majority of the goals for her team in the second half.
Hatherleigh extended their lead further in the third quarter with Eliza Burton shooting 12 of the 16 goals for the Eagles.
Mount Burr fought hard in the last quarter, only missing one goal between the two goalies, however Hatherleigh had put in the hard work in the middle two quarters to come away with the win.

Mount Burr 57 def Tantanoola 45
Mount Burr won the toss and despite strong pressure by Tantanoola scored the first goal.
Settling first the Mozzies pushed out to an early three goal lead.
Ashlee Dean Goal Shooter for the Mozzies was strong in the circle shooting accurately.
Unforced errors crept into the game with both sides seeming to struggle with nerves.
Strong work by the Mozzies in the mid court forced Tantanoola into unforced errors and as a result they pushed out to an eight-goal lead.
The second quarter Dean was a focal point in the circle, shooting accurately.
Tantanoola’s Bella Poulish at Goal Shooter had many opportunities; however Tilly Gamble at Goal Defence for the Mozzies made it difficult for Ebony Cytrowski to take possession in the circle.
The third quarter was a well contested quarter by both sides and despite the heat they continued to play a fast-paced game.
Centre court players worked hard for their respective teams, driving hard to the circle edge to give front feeds to their goalies.
Despite positional changes by Tantanoola, Mount Burr was able to maintain consistency.
Ella Easterby at Centre for the Mozzies, played a solid game, controlling the mid court.
Both teams started to make errors due to fatigue and the continual defensive pressure all over the court.
Mount Burr’s Macy Burns and Tantanoola’s Molly Cushion created turnovers in the last part of the game, which kept the last quarter margin down to two goals.
Mount Burr’s quick start to the game helped them to a 12-goal win.

15 & Under
Kalangadoo 67 def Hatherleigh 30
Asolid four quarter effort by Kalangadoo gave them the premiership in the 15 & under. Hatherleigh won the toss, but Kalangadoo broke the pass and settled to shoot the first five goals of the game in quick succession. Hatherleigh took a while to settle.
Chloe Peacock was solid for the Pies and her goalies Shayden Russell and Lucy Egan shot with accuracy.
Hannah Bellinger worked hard at Goal Defence for the Eagles for the whole four quarters.
Kalli Nettle worked overtime in the shooting circle for the Eagles, but overall Kalangadoo had more experience with strong leadership by Peacock, to win by 37.

13 & Under
Kalangadoo 41 def Glencoe 28
Both teams began the game nervously with each team forcing errors to turn the ball over.
Both teams’ defenders made it difficult for feeders to get the ball into the circle.
In a very tight first quarter tussle, Kalangadoo narrowly edged out Glencoe to go into the first break with a one goal advantage.
In the second quarter Molly Peacock for Kalangadoo was able to read the play and pick off some easy passes to return the ball into the Kalangadoo circle.
Goalers Matilda Peacock and Emmity McElroy converted every opportunity to give their team a strong 21 to 10 lead.
Glencoe’s Annabelle Gordon continuously intercepted defence passes to try and keep Glencoe in the game.
The third and fourth quarters were more even with Kalangadoo’s Ava Prosperi-Porta playing a controlled game through the centre court.
Glencoe’s Isabella Brierley battled hard all game to make it hard for Kalangadoo’s centre court to feed the ball easily.
Glencoe continue to fight it out to the end in the final quarter with Glencoe’s Ella Stewart shooting eight goals without a miss.
Kalangadoo were able to keep their strong second quarter lead to finish the game with a 13-goal margin.
The final score did not reflect the solid game from both teams.
