Kent prevails under tricky skies

Conditions were less than ideal for Lake Bonney Sporting Clays’ 50 target shoot sponsored by Herb Whitehead Fencing, J&M Shanks Engineering and Dave Reilly Paint & Panel recently.

The event was the first leg of the 2021 Lake Bonney vs Burrungule Challenge and the latter pulled a two-target lead.

Jeremy Kent prevailed in the tough conditions to secure High Gun with 48 targets.

A Grade went to Romain Devaud by just one target from Anthony Brennan. Lee Clifford won B Grade, but a shoot off was needed to decide the minor placings.

Plum Werchon and David Hewett shot off at the end of the day with the former coming out in front to get second. Another shoot off was required to separate first and second in Juniors between Burrungule’s Declan Wright and Kody Vanderhorst.

Wright showed top form defeating his opponent. The Second leg of the inter club Challenge will be held at Burrungule Field and Game.
