With a ‘bold, yet pragmatic’ design, the electric SUV features sharp looks and even sharper technology, a spacious, practical and stylish interior, and plenty of power to propel you along all while remaining efficient on the road from a fully-charged battery.
Both the front and rear of the vehicle feature slimline LED lighting to blend seamlessly with the aerodynamic body-styling to ensure maximum efficiency on the road, while the EV theme continues with aerodynamic wheels and recessed door handles to help keep the EV5 slicing through the wind.
There are also a number of colour options available for the Kia EV5 which is nice to see, with Clear White, Snow White Pearl, Frost Blue, Iceberg Green, Magma Red, Tide Blue, Shale Grey and Starry Night Black featuring on the Air and Earth grades.
Hitting the market with three grades – Air, Earth and GT-Line – the entry level EV5 Air as pictured is available in either a 2WD standard range of upto 400km per charge, or 2WD long range with upto 555km per charge in a 160kW motor with 310Nm of torque; while Earth grade sports 500km per charge with 230kW of power and 480Nm of torque through an all-wheel drive system, and the top of the range GT-Line chimes in with a little less range of 470km per charge.
Each EV5 in the range is equipped with an integrated panoramic display to showcase all your vehicle vitals and infotainment options, Kia Connect with over the air updated, column type shifter with push button start, heated front seats and a three-cell massage function for the driver, autonomous emergency braking with junction crossing, lane oncoming and lane change side alerts, blind spot detection and rear-cross traffic alerts, lane keep and follow assistance and much, much more!

Taking to the streets because we were ready to cruise, the Kia EV5 effortlessly and silently tackled the hustle and bustle of the city as the Christmas rush kicks in, and was even more impressive when hitting the open road.
The quietness of the electric vehicles still leaves you in awe, and no matter the drive mode the SUV feels planted on the road with responsive throttle and steering inputs.
The Kia EV5 is also equipped with a multi-charging system compatible with both 400V and 800V chargers without the need for an additional adapter, meaning when the time comes to pull over for a rest and charge up both your own and your vehicle’s batteries, you have a number of options to stop along the way to your destination.
Whether you opt for the Earth, GT-Line or entry level Air, each EV5 includes an interior V2L outlet, allowing owners to plug devices into a standard power socket without the need for an adapter.
