KNT favourites put best foot forward

Round 15 of the Kowree Naracoorte saw all the favourites finetune their performances before the finals start next weekend.

Border Districts had a strong victory against Padthaway by 99 points.

The Eagles had a big second half of the game to pull away from the Lions and record the win.

Mackenzie Bower kicked six goals, which was a great performance for the Eagles.

Sam Pridham was also deadly in front of the goals for the Eagles with four goals.

The best performers for the Eagles were Sam Pridham, Mark Quinn and Gabriel Burden.

Tobin Cox fought hard all game for the Lions by kicking four goals.

Blake Harris tried to help Padthaway stay competitive with his three goals.

Padthaway’s best players were Nathan McCarthy, Tobin Cox and Shane Heatley.

Jacob Eats kicked eight goals in a starring performance in Bordertown’s 10-goal
 win against Penola.

Eats is on track to win the league’s goal-kicking award by continuing his form that has produced 31 goals in his past five games.

Billy Hayes was another Roosters player who found touch in front of the goals with four majors.

Hayes, Eats and Troy Blackwell were the Roosters’ best players.

Penola found it hard to find multiple players to kick multiple goals in the performance.

Brodie Foster proved to be the most consistent player in front of the goals with five majors for the game.

Beau Shinnick, Jak Ryan and Jordan Galpin were the Eagles’ best players.

Kybybolite overcame Kingston at Gall Park in a tough encounter to record another victory.

The Tigers trailed by four points at three quarter time before having a big last quarter to come away with a 35-point victory.

Kybybolite’s Billy Laurie and Kingston’s Ben Rogers had a great contest during the game.

Charlie Hillier was another important player in front of the goals for Kybybolite.

Oscar Clark, Brad Castine and Matt Black were the Tigers’ best players.

Chris Draper and Ethan Murdock led Kingston’s scoring with two goals each.

Rogers, Draper and James Siviour were Kingston’s best players.

Keith recorded a huge win against Naracoorte by 167 points.

Riley Wilsdon had a big game for the Crows with 10 goals.

Alex Schiller and Aaron Young put through six goals each to help get the Crows across the line.

Wilsdon, Daniel Bibby and Travis Wilson were the Crows’ best players.

Aaron Slorach led Naracoorte’s goal-kicking list with four goals.

The Demons’ best players were Joshua Koennecke, Matt Willson and Tommy Anderson.

Mundulla had a strong 51-point victory over Lucindale.

The Tigers set up the win in the second quarter with a big nine goal quarter.

To Lucindale’s credit, they fought the game out and even won the second half.

James Hinge made his comeback to the Mundulla team a good one as he put through four goals in the victory.

Billy Wiese continued his strong season with another four goals for the Tigers to help get the victory.

The Tigers’ best players were Nathan Studham, Dylan Mosey and Jake McGrice.

Tom Logan put in a solid effort for the Roos with four goals.

Lucindale’s best players were Tom Fisher, Lachie Jones and Bradley Agnew.

Round 16

Round 16 this weekend and it is the last round for five of the teams and another week to tune up before the finals start for the others.

Penola hosts Border Districts in the battle of the Eagles.

This game also represents Penola’s last A Grade contest before they move and join the Limestone Coast Football Netball League.

Penola will be hoping they can cause an upset and get the victory.

Border Districts will be confident they can spoil the farewell party and continue building for week one of the finals by getting the victory.

Border Districts look settled and ready to get the victory over a fighting Penola team.

Kybybolite is at home to Bordertown and I think the Roosters will be keen to avenge the after the siren loss they had against the Tigers earlier in the season.

The Tigers are just three wins away from a premiership after sitting on top of the ladder for most of the season.

Tiger fans would be pretty happy where their team is sitting at the moment and would be starting to dream of the premiership drought ending.

Bordertown will see this as a way to get a good start on a finals campaign a week early and give it a hard crack.

The Tigers will be the favourite but the Roosters would not surprise anyone if they get across the line.

Padthaway are at home to Keith in their last game of the season.

The Lions are looking to finish the season in a strong way to build for next season.

They face a Crows team that is ready to face the finals head on and try and win the flag.

The Crows are flying at the moment and might try some positional changes in the game to test them out.

I do not think the Lions will win but I think they will push the Crows before Keith pull away for a strong victory.

Naracoorte versus Lucindale is always a good game between the rivals and the last chance for the Demons to get a victory for the season.

The Demons will be hoping they can regroup in the off-season and get some recruits in to help their strong core of younger players coming through.

A victory over the Roos would build a lot of confidence.

The Roos need a win as well to bring some joy back into the team after a hard couple of months.

In this game, it is hard to pick who will be
 the winner.

Both teams will be fired up and I hope it is close.

Mundulla welcomes Kingston to Mundulla for the Saints’ last game of the season.

Last year it was Kingston that ended Mundulla’s season in a classic preliminary final.

This season Mundulla gets to send Kingston on their way even though it is not a final and the Saints not qualifying for the finals this year.

The Tigers look primed for another shot at the premiership.

They will treat this game as the perfect game to get the run in their players’ legs before the finals start.

Kingston wants a big scalp before their season ends and playing Mundulla at Mundulla is the ultimate test.

The Saints were playing good football against Kybybolite before running out of legs in the fourth quarter.

I think they will do the same this week and take it up to Mundulla before the home team gets across the line.
