The Krymzon Academy of Calisthenics recently held its much-anticipated end of year concert where performers wowed the crowd with their talented moves.
All age groups from Tinies to Masters took the stage at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre. with Krymzon Academy of Calisthenics publicity officer Leah Fox saying the event ran smoothly.
“All the kids were really excited and they all performed really well,” Ms Fox said.
“They had all learnt their routines and they were all excited to be on stage and show their families what they had been doing.”
Ms Fox said a highlight of the night was the annual Blokes Inc. Team performance.
Dads, sons and partners took to the stage to perform a special routine, co-ordinated by Krymzon coaches Jenae Fox and Simone Phelan.
“It’s always a big hit,” Ms Fox said.
The concert was followed by a presentation night dinner at the Western Tavern. Each performer received a trophy and scholarships and special awards were presented to winners.
Ms Fox thanked the dancers for making it a great show, parents for their support, Krymzon committee members and the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre staff.
Ms Fox said the group looked forward to the next concert and what was to come for the academy in 2022.
“We’re really looking forward to next year and we are keen to get everyone on stage and everyone enjoying themselves,” she said.
Ms Fox encouraged people to come out and give calisthenics a go with a free first lesson.
“We have wonderful coaches and assistants, it always makes the lessons smooth-running and enjoyable for the students,” she said.
“We’re always wanting to see new faces and we’re a very family-friendly club, it’s a really good environment out there.”
