Larkins’ solid win

KEN DANCEY – GOLF 

A HUGE field of seven players turned out for a Stableford round on a day that threatened rain and wind but only the wind appeared. 

Winner was Pete Larkins (13) with a score of 38 points clearly ahead of Pat Hegarty (17) on 34 points. 

Nearest the pins went to Nev Wombwell on the 2nd, Ewan Herring the 8th, Pat Hegarty the 13th and 17th and Pete Larkins took second shot on the 9th. 

Tyrepower award went to Richard Layley. 

A couple of stories of balls being hit off the tee being sent in all directions by the wind.
