Penola v Mundulla
This Friday night Penola will take on Mundulla in Kybybolite.
Mundulla are coming off a big win over Nangwarry last week whereas the Eagles will be fresh off the bye.
Both sides have played Nangwarry this season with the Tigers beating them by 31 more points than the Eagles.
That shows that both of these sides are capable of putting up some big scores.
Both looked very competitive in those games with this match up being the first real test for them this season.
After having a week off, the Eagles should be fresh and ready to play on Friday night as the Tigers have a short turnaround from their previous game on Sunday.
I predict that Mundulla will come out on top, but I do not think the Eagles will make it easy for them in this contest.
Kongorong v North Gambier
Kongorong will take on North Gambier on Friday night in Millicent.
Both sides are coming off solid wins last week and they will be looking to continue that form.
The Tigers came out hot in their first game of the season and dominated most of the game.
They will be looking for Alice Tentye to have another big performance as she is coming off a nine goal performance last week.
Despite having a 1-1 record the Hawks have played solid footy in both games but have struggled to put a lot of scoreboard pressure on their opponents.
I believe the Hawks will not be able to keep up with the Tigers because of their depth across the field which will help them come out on top in this contest.
Millicent v Casterton Sandford
Millicent will face Casterton Sandford tomorrow night in Millicent.
Both sides are coming off solid performances last week despite not picking up the win.
Casterton Sanddford will be looking to get their form back from round one where they had a great victory, whereas the Saints will be searching for their first win of the 2024 season.
The Saints showed flashes of great play last week.
Their slow start did not help them as they only scored eight points in the first half.
If Millicent can play like they did in the second half of that game then they will have a great shot at winning.
If both sides play at their best this should be a very competitive game.
With the Saints having home field advantage I’m tipping towards them coming out on top in this contest.
Kybybolite v Nangwarry
Tomorrow night Kybyboilte will host Nangwarry at their home deck in Kyby.
The reigning premiers have gotten off to a solid start this season, winning both games however they have not had a convincing win yet.
Nangwarry on the other hand have struggled a lot, losing both their games by over 130 points.
This game will be a good opportunity for the Tigers to iron out a few things and improve on their goal kicking accuracy, which has been an issue early on in the season.
In round one they kicked 14 points and in round two they kicked seven.
In a game like this where they will have a lot of opportunities to score, it will give them a better chance of improving their goal kicking accuracy.
Despite not playing at their premiership best I think Kyby will come out on top Friday night.
