League hurls red card at Hurley for striking

Glencoe Football Club player Aiden Hurley was red-carded and reported for striking Brad Wight during the fourth quarter of the A Grade match at Hatherleigh on Saturday.

The Mid South Eastern Football League issued a statement about the matter on Tuesday night.

“Following review, the Match Review Officer (MRO) assessed the incident as intentional conduct, high contact, and high impact,” stated the MSEFL.

“In accordance with the State and Territory Tribunal Guidelines, the prescribed base sanction for this offence is a four-match suspension.

“Hurley was offered a three-match suspension under the early guilty plea provisions, which he accepted.”
