The Pioneers Basketball Club marked a special milestone on Saturday night, with Castec Rural Pioneers head coach Richard Hill celebrated for coaching his 300th club game.

Prior to tip-off against the Eltham Wildcats, former president and life member of the club Neil Boase recognised “Richo’s” achievement, with wife Di Hill also in attendance.

Richo has spent just over a decade at the helm of Mount Gambier, and in that period the Pioneers have achieved five consecutive SEABL conference and three national championships, with Richo also receiving four Coach of the Year league awards.
