A Mount Gambier man has died following a crash near Penola on Tuesday morning.
About 7.30am police and emergency services responded to a single vehicle crash on the Riddoch Highway about 10km south of Penola.
Sadly the driver of the Commodore, a 25-year-old Mount Gambier man, died at the scene.
His passenger, a 24-year-old Mount Gambier woman, was taken to the Mount Gambier Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The Riddoch Highway remained closed for several hours while Major Crash investigators examined the crash scene.
The man’s death is the 95th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 90.
