Life memberships celebrate driving passion

Two local motoring enthusiasts have been recognised with life memberships of a Mount Gambier car club.

The Holdens of Age Car Club Mount Gambier announced the life memberships recently.

President Roger Johnston made the presentation to Bronwyn Johnston for her many years as a passionate club and committee member and Don Lockwood for his continued participation and attendance at local and away club events and meetings.

Mr Johnston was assisted with the presentations by club vice president and life member David Johnston and club member Lenni Buhse, who travelled from Adelaide for the occasion.

The Holdens of Age Car Club Mount Gambier was formed in April 1999 and membership is for those owning Holdens 21 years of age or older.

It meets at 7.30pm on the last Wednesday of each month at the South Aussie and club runs are held once a month.

Conditional registration is available to Holden vehicles which are 30 years of age and older.
