A 30-year-old-man from the Limestone Coast was arrested for possessing child abuse material, obtaining or accessing a carriage service and using a carriage service to access child abuse material. He was bailed to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on January 28.

Detective Sergeant Joe Barry, Australian Federal Police, said “these are not just images on a screen, every image and every second of a video has a real child being abused and being subjected to a situation that no child should ever experience.”

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Lyons, South Australia Police, said “the South Australia Police and our partner agencies are highly trained to detect and apprehend predators who target our vulnerable. I am extremely proud of the tireless work our officers continue to do and the outcomes they achieve. Our community is safer as a result of these arrests”.
