Magpies take flight by the sea

Robe will be hosting Kalangadoo on Saturday, in what will be the match of the seventh MSENA round.

With the strength of Abbey Duncan combined with youngster Kori Collins in the goal circle for the Magpies, Robe’s defence will have their work cut out for them. Kalangadoo’s defenders Reanna Wetherall, Shannen Pulkinen and Lauren Kain will have to work hard to keep the ball from Robe’s accurate goalies Sarah Laurie and Tori Gluyas.

The match up of Sophie Wrightson and Ellen Ramke on the wing will be one to watch, with both fighting for every ball.

However, the experience of Kalangadoo may prove to be too much for the young Roosters team at the end of the game.

Mount Burr are coming off of the bye this week and are heading down to Nangwarry.

Hayley Burner will work hard to feed her goalies Ange Pratt and Tahlia Wilson with accuracy for the Saints.

Olivia Dean and Madi Haggett will fight to create every possible opportunity for a turnover in the defensive circle for Mount Burr.

Nangwarry’s defensive combination of Tahlia Puckridge and Carly Ploenges will have to put pressure on Mount Burr’s goalies, Ebony Clark and Zoe Brown.

Clarke’s accuracy within the goal circle will prove beneficial for the Mozzies in a game they should win.

Port MacDonnell will travel to Tantanoola in what could prove to be a close game. Tantanoola’s Casey Walker and Madi Kelly will feed accurately into Emma Gould and Jami Walker in the circle, with the potential for youngster Bella Poulish to also step into goals for the Tigers.

However, the combination of Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine in the defensive circle will put the pressure on for the Tigers’ goalies.

The experience of Toni Gilmore and her accuracy in the goal circle, paired with Narelle Lewis on the ring will leave minimal opportunities for Tantanoola’s defenders.

This game has the potential to end with either team coming out on top after a tough battle down the court.

Hatherleigh would be happy with their win against Glencoe last week and will come out riding high when the whistle blows against Kongorong on Saturday.

Demi Vanderhorst and Lara MacGregor’s combination in the defensive circle for Hatherleigh will have hands to every ball, making it tough for the Hawks’ goalies.

Riley Buckingham, Sarah Lucas and Emily Lightbody have the potential to play in defence for Kongorong and force any errors for Hatherleigh’s goalies.

Maddie Redman had an incredibly accurate game in round six and will be hoping to repeat that this week.
