Meat meet rescheduled

Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), in conjunction with project manager Pinion Advisory and the South Australian Producer Working Group, have made the difficult decision to reschedule the MLA MeatUp Forum.

The forum was to be held in Naracoorte on February 3.

Also postponed are two other associated events, the Best Practice Demonstration Farm Field Day at Struan on February 2, plus the ‘MeatUp for dinner’ at Struan House that same evening.

MLA’s Southern Beef and Sheep Adoption Project Manager Andrew Morelli said “while a postponement is not ideal, we had to consider the worsening COVID-19 situation in SA, including in regional SA. A number of presenters also need to travel from the eastern states”.

MeatUp Forum Coordinator Caroline McGrath from Pinion Advisory said the group hoped to reschedule to a date later in 2022.

“The aim is to provide the same or a very similar program, with the high calibre speakers as engaged for the February date,” she said.

“The focus on production systems to improve productivity and profitability, using data for making on farm decisions and understanding the outcome on carcass quality, eating quality and market requirements will remain.”

Those who have registered for the MeatUp Forum will be contacted directly with updated event details.
