Mental health reach out

The message of R U OK? Day was spread throughout the Millicent CBD recently.

Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network member Dawn Williams teamed up with Skylight mental health nurse Sam Clift and spent an hour in five local cafes and offered a coffee and chat to anyone wanting to connect.

Ms Clift thanked Acky’s Takeaway, Java Cafe, Cafe Lito, McCourt’s Cafe and Shearers Cook Cafe as they supported this initiative.

“It was all about having conversations and checking on wellbeing,” Ms Clift said.

“The network provided the free coffee vouchers.

“We have also been asked to be involved with an R U OK? Day at Millicent High School.”
