Millicent duo claims 2-4-2 bowls victory

Numbers were slightly down for the Millicent Bowls Club 2-4-2 competition last week.

Organisers attributed it to a lot of bowls being played in the South East with the two day carnival in Port MacDonnell on Monday and Tuesday with a total of 84 ends being played over the two days.

The mid-week pennants were also played.

However, despite the barrage of bowls competitions, 24 players stilled turned up for the 2-4-2 game.

The winning team for the day was Brian Goode and David Reichelt with a score of 35+17.

Runners-up for the day were Steve Skeer and Brian Roper with a score of 32+17.

Other winning teams for the day were Derek Bowering and Peter Bateman 33+9, Steve Carnellor and Jim Campbell 32+17, Ross Warren and Eddie Hann 31+2, and Ian Ross and Andre Reinders 30+4.
