Millicent early learning centre upgrade on track

Upgrades to the council-owned Koala Room at the Gladys Smith Early Learning Centre in Millicent are almost complete.

This project includes the renewal of the flooring, replacement of doors, updated kitchen facilities and extra storage space, along with painting and fitting of soundproof material on the walls.

Wattle Range Council staff have also reported that tenders for the upgrade of the toilets on Arthur Street, Penola have closed and officers are now negotiating with the preferred supplier.

The May monthly council meeting was also informed the tenders for the Greenrise Toilets at Penola and Millicent Rotunda Lighting project have been awarded to ACM Plumbing and works will commence shortly.

Tenders have been called for the replacement of the roof and air conditioning system at the Millicent Library complex and will close later this month.
