State Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Geoff Brock included the Millicent RSL sub-branch on his recent regional through the Limestone Coast tour.

Sub-branch president Chris Mathias said the minister was greeted by a group of veterans and their families with whom he chatted about his role and queried about veterans’ issues.

“Mr Brock is keen to learn as much as he can about the concerns of the veteran community and to assist wherever possible,” Mr Mathias said.

“The meeting went on later than planned, which was a good sign of the interest shown to the minister.

“I took the opportunity to bring up the subject of acquiring an already identified item of military hardware to advertise the location of our RSL sub-branch.”
