The fear of inclement weather did not stop the Mount Gambier Rodeo from going ahead on Saturday evening.
Event promotors, Woodall Rodeo Promotions said they had a large number of enquiries asking if the event was cancelled.
“We got heaps of messages asking if the rodeo is cancelled,” organisers said.
To alleviate circling concerns for ticket holders, organisers took to social media to advise the public it was going ahead as planned and had no indications at all the event would be cancelled.
“The committee here did an amazing job,” organisers said.
Awe-inspiring bull riding, lightning-fast barrel racing and impressive roping skills were the main drawcards of the event.

Once the dust settled on the main arena, the entertainment continued with Melbourne band The Go Set.
Patrons were encouraged to purchase tickets early with last minute ticket announcements being made a day before the event.
Meanwhile, rodeo action will return to the Limestone Coast in the new year with events being held at Hatherleigh and Penola.
Members of the Hatherleigh sporting community will host its first rodeo on the town’s oval on January 4.
Saddle up for the return of thrills and spills when the Penola and District Community Rodeo returns on January 18.
