Mozzies out for blood

Mount The best wet-weather playing surface in the MSEFL at Nangwarry assisted Mount Burr to achieve the highest score and biggest winning margin of round 16.

The 114-point victory was almost identical to the margin in round seven on Saturday, May 22.

The Mozzies were keen to do well for the sake of their skipper Jack Gregory, who was playing his 150th game.

Gregory did some of the “heavy lifting” in the game and finished with a game-high tally of five goals.

Veteran Ben Dinnison was in great form and was named as the best player for the home team.

The Saints had received a pre-game boost when their B Grade outfit achieved a rare and thrilling win in the curtain-raiser by a mere 15 points.

Nangwarry has one more game for 2021 as it has its scheduled bye in round 18 on Saturday, August 21.

It takes on Tantanoola at Tigerland with the Tigers not playing since round 13 at Kalangadoo on Saturday, July 17.

Mount Burr hosts cross-town rivals Hatherleigh at Mick and Jean Walker Oval.
